What a lovely morning! Woke up to a Brigadoon fog and lovely coolness. It was still misty on our country road, then totally burned off on my ride to work. The sun is finally out and bright. A friend once described the foliage this time of year as "the matronly greens of Summer". What a beautiful part of the world we live in!

Hello, world! I guess this means I'm joining the 21st century. First Facebook, now a blog.
It's beautiful here in NH, if it would only stay sunny a bit longer. All the greens are beautiful, though it's beginning to feel a bit like a rain forest. I've never seen so many varieties of ferns, and I've never seen them this huge. The skies, too, are spectacular. Here at Cobblestone Publishing, we're working on getting the September issues of AppleSeeds, Calliope, Cobblestone, Dig, Faces, and Odyssey magazines to the printer. It's fun being part of the process. You can see more about them at www.cobblestonepub.com.
In spare moments, I'm making jewelry to take to the League of NH Craftsmen's Fair August 1–9 in Sunapee, NH. More about that at nhcrafts.org.
